Corporate Development, M&A, AI Strategy

Jay Park

For over a decade I've worked where capital and companies meet - M&A and corporate development from Deutsche Bank in New York to Coupang, Bain, and now Toss. Today I lead corporate development and AI special projects at one of Korea's defining companies.

Profile

I invest, acquire, and build - where finance, strategy, and technology meet.

My career has run through the engine rooms of global finance: investment banking and M&A at Deutsche Bank in New York, private-equity and corporate diligence at Bain, and corporate development at Coupang, where I built the cases behind billion-dollar transactions.

Today, as Director of Corporate Development and Head of AI Special Projects at Toss, I report to the founder on the group's growth, M&A, and AI agenda - and design how an AI-native operating model changes the way capital is allocated, diligence is done, and decisions are governed.

What I do

Three disciplines, one practice.

01

Investment

Investment Banking, CorpDev, IR

A decade of transactions - IPOs and M&A at Deutsche Bank, corporate development at Coupang and Toss. Sourcing, valuation, negotiation, closing, and the investor story that carries a deal.

02

Strategy

Consulting, Advisory

Strategy the Bain way: commercial and vendor diligence for private equity, corporates, and government - and the Generative-AI roadmaps that tell investors where to move next.

03

Operation

New Business Development, FP&A, AI Special Projects

Building what comes next - new businesses, financial planning, and the AI special projects that rewire how a company allocates capital and makes decisions.

The thesis

An AI-native operating model for capital.

Most of finance still runs on the playbook it used twenty years ago. I believe the next decade belongs to institutions that rebuild their operating model around AI - from how targets are sourced and diligenced to how capital is allocated and governed.

At Toss, that conviction is concrete: designing agentic workflows for corporate development, and pushing toward a financial system where trust, not just capability, is the moat.
